I am currently painting contrasts -- big/small, natural/manmade, old/new -- trying to see different kinds of connections.  I enjoy painting from unusual perspectives: looking at a building through a grove of trees, for example, or at a natural setting from an unexpected angle of vision, something that obscures and reveals at the same time -- often leading to surprising discoveries.
